Michael Copeland and Rocket White

Michael Copeland and Rocket White, 2009

Michael Copeland was a great guy — he was our friend and he was our writer, at least for a while. His ability to simplify complex subjects was unparalleled and his love of words was only rivaled by his love of family and flying. Tragically, the former are now left alone because of the latter.

On Sunday, August 16, 2015, Michael was killed in a mid-air collision between two planes at Brown airfield near San Diego, California. We send our love and condolences to his family as we mourn Michael’s passing, and we salute him with his own sign off: “Onward!”

One response to “When there are no more words”

  1. Michael was a mentor and a friend. I’m saddened to learn of this.

He will forever remain in my memory…
