“He who laughs, lasts” -unknown

We’re celebrating another year of being in business.

And what a difference a year makes! We’ve aggressively expanded our digital capabilities, adding a talented Web and video director, Tony Tharae, to our team and producing great work like Qualcomm’s corporate overview video. We’ve entered an exciting new chapter in our history and can’t wait to begin another promising year filled with the optimism and laughter that has kept us alive for the past 26.

Clearly, we couldn’t have done any of this without the people who make it possible—our supportive clients and dedicated Baker colleagues.

Thank you, all!

Veteran Web and Video Director joins our team

Santa Monica, CA (July 1, 2009) – Baker | Brand Communications announces the addition of Tony Tharae as Design Director, Web and Video.

Tony brings extensive professional experience in all areas of the arts, including art direction, studio production, illustration, Web and multimedia design, information architecture, 2D and 3D animation and game design. Prior to joining Baker, Tony worked as an independent Web and multimedia designer and producer. His clients included Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Condé Nast, MTV, VH1, Yahoo!, Sony, independent filmmakers, musicians and other artists. With a background in studio art and mechanical engineering, Tony practices a combination of art, science and intuition — three elements at the core of Baker’s working method.

As a member of the Baker team, Tony will develop websites, videos, motion graphics and other multimedia vehicles. Completed projects include Allergan’s corporate website, DABC Television Group’s culture video, and various other specialty and investor websites for CKE Restaurants, Allergan and Cephalon.

Gary Baker, Baker’s President and Executive Creative Director, comments: “Tony is a superb addition to our team. His expertise expands our ability to help clients reach diverse audiences through effective and creative use of technology and digital media.”
