Baker Launches a New Biopharmaceuticals Brand

Santa Monica, CA (May 2006) — Baker, has announced the successful rebranding of the San Diego-based biotechnology company formerly known as Stressgen Biotechnologies under the new name Nventa Biopharmaceuticals Corporation.

Nventa recently underwent a corporate restructuring under CEO Greg McKee who was appointed in April of 2005. The company’s line of bioreagents — branded under the Stressgen name — was sold. A new corporate vision and clinical strategy were put in place to advance HspE7, the Company’s investigational therapeutic vaccine for human papillomavirus (HPV). Nventa develops innovative therapeutics for the treatment of viral infections and cancer, with a focus on diseases caused by HPV.

A new corporate vision and clinical direction demanded a new marketing strategy. The brand strategists at Baker implemented the aforementioned name change, a new brand platform, and a new tagline “From Insight to Impact”; in short, a “brand” new identity for the 16-year-old company.

Rebranding strategies included the positioning of Nventa as one of the few companies focused on the development of therapeutic treatments for patients with HPV diseases and other difficult-to-treat diseases. Also significant is the creation of the new company’s first annual report — an awareness-building tour-de-force that brings this impactful new company’s expansive vision into maximum focus.
