Baker helps Allergan unveil “Best Of Medicine” on new corporate website

Santa Monica, CA (May 2, 2008) — Allergan, a premier global specialty pharmaceutical and medical technology company, has launched its new positioning, “best of medicine,” on its revamped corporate website — both created by Baker | Brand Communications.

Best known for its 50-year history of eye care innovation and developing BOTOX®, Allergan turned to Baker to help it reposition its brand as a global leader diversified and expanding in ophthalmology, neurosciences, medical dermatology, medical aesthetics and other specialty categories. After the acquisition of Inamed Corporation, a leader in the breast aesthetics category, Allergan asked Baker to design a site that would seamlessly integrate Inamed’s content into a revitalized Allergan story.

The new website is the first manifestation of the evolved Allergan brand platform. The site showcases Allergan’s breadth across its six high-growth specialty areas and highlights the value proposition of each individually and together. Arresting visuals and a compelling story — “What would the best of medicine look like?” — effectively reach the company’s diverse stakeholders, including physicians, patients, prospective employees, the investor community and the media.

According to Baker’s Executive Creative Director, Gary Baker, the website’s primary goal was “to capture Allergan’s mission of bringing the best of medicine to life and focusing on the ways in which Allergan’s products have helped patients live life to their fullest potential.” Through the launch of Allergan’s new website, Baker has helped the company bring its distinct story — and evolving brand — to life.
